Provenance of Architecture

Designed by Kazume Hidachi, a fixture in Los Angeles architecture and a graduate USC’s School of Architecture, Hidachi's Southern California projects included the Japanese Community and Cultural Center in Little Tokyo and Downtown’s Fort Moore Pioneer Memorial. He has also been featured numerous times in the renowned publication, Arts & Architecture. Built in 1955 and finished in 1956, this is thought to be amongst his first residential works. The neighborhood is a jewel box of single-family homes designed by midcentury masters, including A. Quincy Jones, Whitney R. Smith, Richard Neutra and Craig Ellwood.
